Yoga Therapy at Odessa

with Lauren Albarella, Certified Yoga Therapist

Your nervous system holds more than your mind can sometimes name. Yoga therapy works with what's stored in the body: the patterns of tension, bracing, and disconnection that keep you stuck even when you understand, intellectually, what's going on.

Lauren Albarella, I-CAYT, brings her trauma-informed, deeply personalized approach to yoga therapy to Odessa, offering both individual sessions and group classes for those ready to feel more grounded, easeful, and at home in themselves.

What Is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga therapy is not a fitness class. It's a clinically informed, individualized practice that draws from yoga's full toolkit — movement, breathwork (pranayama), meditation, sound, and mindfulness — and applies it to your specific mental and physical health needs.

Lauren weaves together modern nervous system science with ancient yogic wisdom, meeting you exactly where you are. The goal isn't to fix what's broken. It's to create the conditions for you to access the wholeness that's already there.

Individual Yoga Therapy Sessions

One-on-one sessions are tailored entirely to you — your history, your nervous system, your pace. Lauren uses her Embodied Self-Method as a guiding framework, building stability, clarity, and a deeper connection to yourself over time. Sessions are available in person at Odessa or via Zoom.

Calm in the Chaos: Yoga for Inner Peace

(Group Class)

This 90-minute group class is a gentle, accessible entry point into yoga therapy. It’s a space to slow down, reconnect, and discover the stillness available within you, regardless of what's happening around you.

Each session begins with a brief discussion and reflection before moving into practice: trauma-informed movement, breathing techniques, sound work, and meditation. You'll leave with practical tools for calming anxiety, supporting nervous system balance, and building resilience you can carry into daily life.

Open to all levels. No prior yoga experience needed — only curiosity and a willingness to meet yourself with compassion.
