We’ve gotten the kids out of diapers, made some stellar career moves, and are ready to take on the next season of life with passion and purpose. If we could just remember why we walked into the kitchen…
It’s no secret that midlife is a time of transition, and yet most of us in it have no clue what we can expect. In fact, it's one of the least discussed periods in human life.
It’s time that we finally shine a spotlight on this season in our lives and be empowered with information about our most vital asset – our minds.
We are proud to be hosting the first Cincinnati workshop focused on women’s midlife minds. We’ve invited our friends and colleagues, Drs. Lisa Larkin, Shawna Jacob, and Audrey Greene, to give us the education we need to understand our cognitive functioning and protect it well into the future.
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
- What changes can I expect to happen as I age in my thinking, memory, and processing?
- What are the role of hormones on my emotional and cognitive functioning?
- What changes or symptoms might indicate an issue like ADHD, dementia, or a mental health issue?
- What steps should I take if I am noticing changes that aren’t considered normal?
- What can I do now and in the future to protect my brain?
Drs. Greene and Jacob will share a down-to-earth perspective on our mental functioning in midlife. They’ll help us understand too how the way that our lives are set up might be contributing to our thinking challenges and what we can do to improve them.
Join us for this empowering discussion and walk away with the insights and tools you need for your best brain health.
We’ll be connecting before and after the presentation with delicious drinks, light bites, and even some fun fashion!
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Women’s Alzheimer’s Research Initiative to accelerate innovative research on sex and gender in Alzheimer’s disease.
